Default Price check...

  • 95 993 C2 coupe, sunroof, manual
  • Midnight blue/grey
  • Pretty much standard options, nothing rare
  • 80k mi
  • Stock
  • Newish tires
  • Original clutch. Mechanic has talked about replacing it, owner feels it's fine.
  • Probably needs a nose respray
  • Good guy owner...get a good vibe that he's not trying to hide anything
  • Would of course get PPI/Leakdown.

Mid to upper twenties if you agree on the clutch situation.

Agreed. Whether it needs a clutch now or not isn't that relevant. It will soon -- i.e., next 10k at the most...

Upper 20's depending on exterior/interior condition and wear and assuming no major accidents.

depending on how clean it is i think 30 is top end. I would think a stock car like this would be 26-28 unless its a concours clean car with a clean PPI of course

90k service soon(1.5k?)
suspension update(2k?)
25k max if all needed?
i see youre NY also, is it a NE car?

PPI and leakdown should give a good idea of engine condition. A top end might not be just around the corner. Other things were considered in the cost I gave.

I think a stock car that doesnt need a top end is in the 27-29 range IMO. 25 would be a deal.

No way to know that without looking at the clutch disc. Unless it was driven improperly, clutch could be good for a lot longer.

Key issue to check is oil consumption. Depending on that it's anywhere from low to high $20's.

+1. And leakdown tests dont necessarily tell the whole story either in regards to that. My leakdown numbers were not stellar but my car consumes only half a quart to a quart of oil every 6-7k miles which is pretty impressive to me.

I think so. Although you won't find them listed for $25K, that's what these coupes sell for ultimately .. when you hit 80K miles, you take a value hit no matter what. $30K is my benchmark for a nice coupe with 50-70K miles .. no excuses, all service done.

Ok now I can get serious....I have a similiar car to the one you are posting about.
I own a 95 coupe that I bought last May with 74k miles and in need of tires and valve cover gaskets new plugs etc...now I have over $10k in required mods pss10, fister exhaust and other maint. items and I now have 78 k miles. I figure my now sorted car in a rare color combo with sport seats is now worth 30-32. I would ask 32k for it and see what happened if I were to sell it. BTW I would not sell my car unless something amazing turned up on the market and I need the funds from my 993 to make it happen.
I figure the car you are looking at is a decent deal at $28k -$30kand a better deal for less!
