hmm, let's see
I forget exact numbers so most are estimates
Front Tires: ~$250
oil change, install tires, ignition wires etc...: $800
Corner Balance: $275
fix trip meter/Speedometer: $125
Spark Plug Wires From RLer Matt: $235
Insurance:$650 (993 listed as recreational, and multiple other discounts)

I think that covers it.

forgot:
walrod bushings $110
install bushings: $200

this year LWF!

I only did maintenance last year, no mods.

- Hood Shock Replacement $21.95
- Walrod Control Arm Bushings + Tire Balance $435.50
- Bottle of Techron $12.00
Total: $542.44

I put about 3500 miles on the car.

Finally serviced the car after all the winter driving, everyone knows the price of those consumables.

About 12K miles worth of gas, of which almost 9K were from Jan-May for the ski season that never ended.

About $800/yr. for insurance, and the registration is just over $200.

I'd be interested in seeing some TT owners chime in as a comparison.

For things it needed:

Replace Shocks/Springs (Bilstein HD/MO33) - $1,802 parts & shipping
Alignment - $125 labor
Oil Change (Brad Penn/Mahle) - $75 parts & shipping

Total - $2,002

I could have kept the stock springs and just did the shocks to keep the cost down, but the OEM shocks were DONE and needed to be replaced. I am also a DIYer when I can.

I don't want to total up other "fun stuff" I did for fear of becomming ill.

Mine is very lopsided. VERY cheap year in maintenance. VERY expensive year in mods Although some of the mods were maintenance I suppose.

maintenance: $360 - DIY oil change, DIY new v-belts, Alignment
Repair: $1000 - suspension control arm damage from locking collar rotating (my fault)
mods: MUCH more than i want to admit. Coated stage II's, RS tail, New rear decklid, OEM RS sides, Euro front bumper, walrod bushings, RS shifter, Golden Rod, and FDM SSK.

Basic maintenance, <$150 in 2011, consisting of a (Delvac 5W-40) oil shot + filters, and a new brush/regulator set for the alternator ..... costs were less in 2010
One has to amortize tires & brake components to be truthful ( + wiper blades, etc) - but the point is that if one gets ahead of the game, they are quite economical to maintain at a high level.

My 928 & E34 BMW are pretty much the same.

Insurance is ~$500/a for full coverage at appraised value of $45K .... any Canucks with such cars that are not used for work might check out the 'Silver Wheels' program - applies to vehicles >15 years old.
