It's US M030, so it doesn't lower the car, you can thank the US GOV for that one.

Here are the specs, from Porsche web page circa 1996.
You get ABD/LSD, M030 suspension, turbo hydraulic assisted brakes, & a lot have Litronic headlamps.

What is the purpose of the US M030? Is it stiffer than normal springs? I actually really like my cars ride...but want it lower. I've been planning on getting M033 because I didn't want it too firm...but from what you are saying, it sound like I have M030 now...maybe I should go with that again?

Different shocks & springs. Yes, they are stiffer. Actually the US M030 springs are linear vs the progressive ROW ones. US ones are a bit stiffer.

M033 will be softer then what you have. ROW M030 will ride a little smoother then US M030.
