Default Urgent help needed - PSS10 setup values for my C2S

I really hope someone out there with knowledge re. PSS10s sees this

I am having the PSS10s installed by Porsche today. The parts were 3-4 days delayed from Rose Passion due to a slow delivery service by Chronopost

Now I have only 3 days to go before I desperately need the car back and Porsche here in Italy have begun installing the PSS10. They asked me if I could give them the setup values for the PSS10.

I would like the height to be similar to the M033 option I currently have.

If anyone has the aswer I would be very grateful!

Also what would you consider a fair quote/time esitmate for installing PSS10 + full balancing/geo. ?

Hi appear, I would ask Mercedesben as he just had this done. I would figure labor would run you $900-$1200.00. Hope this helps.

Thank you Coop!

If anyone else have some information please chime in. I am trying to dig up the information from the archives.

Labor Cost was $770 USD in 2010 from a Porsche Dealer for my car.

Not sure if these values are ones you're looking for, from the 993 PSS10 Bilstien mounting instructions handbook:

Range of spring plate height:

Front Axle: 120 mm to 140 mm
Rear Axle: 195 mm to 210 mm

The front is measured from the top edge of the spring seat down to the center of the top mounting screw.

The rear is measured from the top edge of the spring seat down to the center of the strut mounting screw. Adjustment level is carried out so that the body is level when the vehicle is empty apart from the driver.

Hope this helps. Good luck.

Thank you academictech!

I was adviced you to use the ROW M033 values (from my previous post) but your values from the instructions are quite different. I have to assume yours are correct.

I assume labour/installation prices are lower in US. I was quoted 1.300 $ for installing mine at OPC, seems very high compared - they did mention they would be doing a lot of tweaking and adjustments...

Default bilstein

I dropped my car off yesterday for my install and I don't expect it back till the end of next week. They are doing some other work to the car as well.
I don't know what the specs are yet
Good luck with your install.

Thanks for chiming in Ben!

I hope they can figure it out by themselves - I have passed on the numbers from this thread as a guideline. Even though they are they biggest Porsche dealer in the country and they claim to be very experienced with 993s, I am not quite sure if they are that familiar with 993s. They categorice the cars as 'Historic' - I guess that says a lot.

Let me know how you like the PSS10s. The day after I get my car back I am taking it for a 1000 km autobahn drive, so I am very excited to experience how the new suspension affects the ride.

Good luck with your install as well.

I installed my pss10's 5mm below the max range at
Front Axle: 135 (120 mm to 140 mm)
Rear Axle: 205 (195 mm to 210 mm)
And it ended up roughly at a ride height of 144 front and 132 rear which works fine for me.
I dropped it off at a shop today for alignment and to confirm ride height from L to R so I can't check the measurement on the car. Hope that helps!

Thank you for the values, big help!

Is that 5mm below maxminimum of the upper limit (towards SUV) or lower limit (towards RS height)? I am going for M030 height.

The upper limit, which is still not high like it would be for US ride heights. My hunch is that the upper range listed by bilstein puts you near the standard ROW height. I think that if you follow the numbers I used you will end up very near ROW M030. The dealer really shouldn't have a problem with this; especially for $1300! My only other sports car has lever shocks and I still figured it out...

Did you find any right measures?

I'm planning to install pss10 in DIY mode in few days, and I'm still trying to find a good DIY guide…

any advise?
