Default Becker CDR220 help...says "wait" indefinitely

I installed the unit in a friends car yesterday and in our haste to input the code, we misread and therefore mistyped it in 3 times. Of course, right after realizing what we had done, the radio was now saying "wait" and would not stop. I disconnected it and plugged it back in....same thing. The manual says it takes about 60 minutes to reset after putting the code in wrong 3 times. Well, a day later, and it still says "wait"....anyone have any good ideas on how to reset the damn thing so we can actually get the right code in this time? Thx.

I remember reading somewhere after another three tries after the intial 60 min period it goes into WAIT for 24 hours....

Then I found this that indicates a limited amount of code tries after which you get codelock - yikes!

WAIT should clear in 60 minutes or less. Just leave it turned on during that period.
