Can I use these instructions to relocate the wipe to the center position? Has anybody done this?

I hope I don't offend anyone by saying this....that's the stupidest and most pointless thing I've ever seen on a 911. I can't think of anything more distracting and annoying than having the wipers parked in the middle of their travel.
Besides, the wiper arms can be removed and replaced easily. Why would a race car need to have them on during a race?

Yeah, I hate having anything in my vision line - I agree its silly. I do like the wipers parked on the other side of the windshield though!

Move them to the other side with the diy in the link (which I've done) and you will have them out of your line of sight without looking like the proverbial "douche"

This could be a helpful link...

In this thread the passenger side wiper was removed. If you did that and pulled the relay you could copy what the race cars do and stop that one wiper vertically.
If you read the entire thread there is a part where the writer says the effects of running one wiper aren't much different than running with two.
If you end up deleting that passenger wiper post some pics!

The middle position, IMO looks dumb on a street driven car...
I looked into parking my wipers on the passenger side with the intention
to have a less obstructed view ahead...but then I thought about it ~ Porsche
designed the wipers to whisk water/debris away from the driver. That's why
they're parked on the driver's side. If you swap them to sit on the passenger side,
the water/debris is pushed into the driver's view the first time you turn them on...
(** It's all theory; I haven't driven my car in the rain..hahah)
I'm keeping mine the way Porsche intended...
