My 993 was stolen this weekend
My 2010 RS and my 96' 993 were stolen from our property this weekend. I can't give details about the break in, but it was very sophisticated and clearly targeting these two cars (other very nice cars were ignored, as well as computers, tools, and so on)
Its safe to say the cars are probably gone for good. I can't imagine crooks this sharp would be dumb enough to try and sell these cars as is.
LAPD detectives made a pretty big deal out of it, but they don't don't think the cars are coming back regardless what they uncover.
Here is the 993

That is absolutely horrible! Where in So Cal do you live? I think this is the second 993 that was stolen within the last 3 months in the LA area. I'll keep an eye out. Those are 2 distinct looking cars.

Wow, crap, sorry to hear this. keep an eye on craigslist and ebay. Wonder if there are export logs that one could track? Cars like these two, I would think, we head out of the country.

That really sucks but if I ever had a car stolen I don't think I'd want it back. They could royally screw something up in no time. A few years ago a friend had his BMW sedan stolen from the driveway at another friend's house in Iowa and they found it a couple days later in a Missouri cornfield, cigarette butts everywhere, cig burns in the leather seats etc, all full of crap. And you can imagine what they did to the clutch and engine... Imagine how they were driving the GT3...

There are a few rare/custom parts on the gray car. Might be a good idea to post vin/crank case numbers as well as an interior photo.
Another bit of advice for others is to try your spare immobilizer remote after every service. As it isn't hard for someone to add a rogue set during service. All key sets need to be present for the addition of a new key set or they will no longer work.
