Default Miami Vice and black Porsches !

Wife n kids out of town tonight so I'm watching my Vice DVD's (love that show!). Season 4 episode 8 is called 'Like a Hurricane'. It's the one where Sonny meets and marries Caitlin (played by Sheena Easton).
Anyway, a guy gets blown up in his black porsche in a parking garage. Anybody remember that scene? What kind of Porsche was that?

my first guess would be a 996 blowing up on its own but then again, the show predates that model.

No, the guy was shooting a Glock 40 which is what blew the car up.

If you don't read the firearms threads, this won't make sense : )

no that was a different episode. This one was the episode where a crooked record promotor ( Tommy Lowell) stuck a cassette tape int0 his cassette player in the car and the cassette tape was rigged with something like c4.

One of the best episodes was with the hitman (Argentinian I believe), that was played by an actual competitive shooter. That dude was bad azz!

sorry, that is the wrong episode...was thinking of another hitman. You are thinking of the one where a hitter has to take out a list 0f 8 or 9 guys....one of which was Sonny

Ted Nugent buries a black Targa in a season 2 episode. I couldn't watch.

Jim Zubiena was the guy, it was the 'Hit List' episode, aka Calderon's Return episode. He was a champion IPSC shooter and firearms trainer for the show.

What I remember about that episode was Arielle Dombasle.

What about the episode that had a 906 and 962s? I believe they filmed during a Camel GT race. Ultimate episode. I could be mistaken but I believe one of the actors was Danny Sullivan.

Darn Corvette drivers...always jealous...kidding.

You have to wonder how many cars are lost/damaged to movies and TV shows
