Another SAI Distributor with rusted out freeze plug
Been getting SAI related fail codes, so I planned some free time over the holidays to attempt a port clean out. Well, after getting everything apart and pouring some techron into the SAI distributor (aka SAI manifold), I discovered that there is hole in one of the distributor freeze plugs (I guess they are "freeze plugs").
From reading reports here, and from trying myself, it seems that the distributor is going to be a bit hard to remove. I'm thinking about mixing up a batch of JB Weld and applying it with a gloved finger directly onto the hole.
Has anybody tried this?
Should there be any concerns with covering the rusted freeze plug in this manner?

I may still have my SAI manifold. If so, I'll gladly send it to you.
The manifold is in perfect shape and was removed two or three years ago - along with the entire SAI system.
PM me if you're interested.

JB Weld should hold it if needed - there is very low air pressure. The removal of that manifold is a bit difficult, but doable.

Andreas - thanks for the offer of your manifold. That's really nice of you.
Let me give the JB Weld a try. If that doesn't work, then you may hear from me!
Thanks.
