Default Help- Headlight lens fell off + turn signal bulbs?

Got a new OEM Bosch headlight lens and attached it to the rest of the headlight assembly but when I pushed it onto the car and pulled the lever the front cover fell right off.

base of headlight lens attached to whole assembly but no front cover

How do I get this back together? Looks like there was no glue and no clips holding it on in the first place. My old original lens cover is firmly attached to the rest of the headlight lens. Couldn't pull it off if I tried

One more thing- I put on the clear euro front turn signals. Had to use the clear bulb and socket from my old orange turn signals to get it to attach to the car. Now the blinkers blink white instead of orange. Anyone have a part number for an orange bulb that fits these turn signals?

Thanks

I got the silver 1157 bulbs a few months ago for my euro clears. They are called silver Vision, silver amber, type 1157. http://autolumination.com/1156_1157.htm

the site is sort of clunky, but scroll down to the Silver Chrome area. There is a picture of a blue BMW on the description. you want the Amber color. So, they look clear when not in use but will flash amber. $2.99 each

FYI just went to Autozone and got orange Sylvania (1157A) bulbs and they fit and look much better than the old white bulbs

Still need to get this headlight back together though

The new headlight lens will never slide into the opening as easy as one that's been in place for many years. An old one will have a somewhat-compressed rubber gasket, whereas the new one needs some pushing to seat it the first time.

If you relied only on the lever setup to 'pull' the headlamp assembly in, it could have caused the lens to pull free from its plastic surround.

I installed two new lenses this year and applied some soapy water around the new rubber gasket to help seat it correctly. That, and pushing directly on the front of the lens.

Will try that next time. I just don't know how this one came apart so easily and if it's still usable. I guess I'll try to seal it up with some kind of glue or silicone

Yeah, that is likely the way. YOu think this was a defect from the manufacturer? Is there any traces of an adhesive?
