Finally...I'm a 993 owner!
Without sounding too pompous I've gone through 3 NSX's and one 06 911 Carrera to get to this point. As my 993 owning friend Graham said to me a few days back "Cameron you know we are back at the same conversation we had a few years ago...somehow I feel you are meant to own a 993".
Well she get's picked up tomorrow! After placing my wanted advert here on Rennlist I was approached by a few owners of either Arena Red or Ocean Blue Metallic cars. Only one checked the boxes/criteria and turns out to be a superb 1998 Ocean Blue Metallic C4S with the Cashmere leather interior. The car has 53,500 miles and is all stock except for the CD player (CDR-210 included but not installed). My wife loves the color combination as well so this is a win win!
Options Codes:
09991 manufacture from the exclusive-program
159 Motor Sound Pkg
329 Radio - ?
437 Comfort seat left
438 Comfort seat right
454 Automatic speed control
490 Hi-Fi sound system
939 Soft leather rear
982 Supple Leather Seats/Trim
X54 Oval Chrome Exhaust Pipes
The car will be collected tomorrow from Colorado, trucked to LA, then loaded into a container for her long journey half way around the world to Dubai (arrives ETA Feb.7th). Eventually, the car will move back home to Canada when my wife and I decide its our time to return home.
PPI checked out with flying colors and the former owner (I'll let him chime in if he feels) is just a superb guy. Such an easy transaction and I'm very grateful for his honesty and assistance. He's a Porsche enthusiast and it showed while speaking to him about this car and others.
Here are some of the many pics the seller provided and I can't wait to get the car here in Dubai for a local photo shoot (perhaps after I put in a lower suspension setup):

Yes the cashmere goes really well with the dark blue exterior. Very classy.
If possible you may want to have someone put on a coat of wax prior to loading into the container, which I don't think are airtight. It will protect the bodywork from the corrosive salt during its ocean voyage.

Congratulations!! My neighbor just went through this entire process with a buyer in Dubai who bought his classic Mercedes. All went well, from the shipping from here to the port in Jacksonville, FL. $4,000 later, after all expenses, it arrived in perfect shape except for the radio. What happened to the radio? Apparently nothing but it has to be 'tuned' different over there. I'm sure you know about that. Enjoy your ride when it arrives.

The radio stations over here are all odd numbered...
The shipping cost is about right...I'll be $3k all in once its said and done.

Oh it will be a tough wait! Thankfully we have Christmas in a few days and I'll be home in Canada while the car is sailing across the globe. I'll be returning to Dubai for its arrival.
