Default caliper

I painted my calipers on the car in 45 degree weather. I used a hair dryer in between coats and had a portable heater to help bake the paint. I used VHt high temp spray paint and eBay stickers. I did not clear. Without heat the paint did not want to stick to the scuffed calipers.

I have the garage at about 55 and have setup a makeshift paint booth. I am using a heat gun in between just to make sure they dry enough to add the next coat. I ended up putting about 5 coats on the fronts.

And they look pretty good- the wife (his mother) was a good sport about using the oven. She's used to some pretty weird stuff with a house of motorheads...

the color part is done and the calipers are baked. One question...what do you guys recommend for "touching up" a few areas? I tried spraying a cutip and using it but it didnt really work. Its nothing that is really that noticable but still bugs me.

Next steps are applying the decals and clearcoating.

you need one empty small plastic bottle of evian 33cl, and one empty big 1.5liters
and a plastic rugged straw 3 - 6 mm diameter (mcdo's)
heat some water up to 60 degrees centigrade
pull the spraying head out of the spray can.
take a drilling tip the size of the straw diameter
drill the spraying head nozzle to enlarge the outlet hole, the size of the straw, about 2.5 - 3 mm (to the middle inside the head)
Insert the straw in the spray nozzle tip.
Cut the big water bottle in the middle
pour hot water to 1/3 rd of the big bottle
add slightly some cold water so that the water temp be hot to the touch, but not burning.
Fit the nozzle with straw on spray can.
Insert spray can in big bottle with warm water.
Open small empty bottle cap
insert other end of straw down to bottom as much as you can.
you can flex the straw.
push the spray can nozzle
you will see paint will start filling the small bottle.
Fill a small amount, and with a drawing brush, do the touch up.
the paint in the small bottle will stay for weeks, keep it away from light and heat.
