Your Record 993 Speed

142mph showing on the OBC at Dunsfold Aerodrome runway, where they film the UK Top Gear.
Managed this on on my last run and needed to brake really hard down to about 15mph. The car was really stable at that speed and during braking, although not as stable as my old E39 M5 at a GPS measured 156mph (162mph on the speedo) in Germany.
No photo of the 993 OBC as I was on my own, but here's one from the M5, fastest I've been (damn BMW limiters, would have seen 186mph otherwise!):

I've done 170+ 3 times last year, none this year but plenty of 150's +.
No video to proof it but the GF could attest!
Make sure the road in front of you is empty and I mean totally empty and the road has no surprises for you in store. Should be smooth, well maintained and as straight as possible.
Have fun,
Ed

Just because your speedo says how fast you are going does not mean you are going that speed. Our speedometers get quite optimistic at higher speeds. It is nice to own a vehicle that thinks positively.

I hit about 160 on the Nurburgring. I am not totally sure, I was more focused on the track than the speedo.
I intentionally left my GPS behind, so I did get overly focused on top speed.
