Heated Seatbelt?
#16
I always assume toreb is correct, but the heat tubes are pretty far below where the seat belt recoil is mounted, and the oil tanks is right there. maybe 3 inches away?
so I concur with the oil tank heating up the seat belt.
and next time a passenger comments about how nice a heated seat belt is in 15 degree temps I'll mention geolab's $4557 price tag on my high end 15 yr old car.

Drifting
Mine is always warm after driving for a while, then parking for 15-20 mins or more.... left side does not warm up.
I still say it is due to the proximity of the oil tank on the right side between rear wheel and door.
Lots of discussions here about flaps and valves..... anyone else CONCUR/NONCONCUR with oil tank being cause of warm seat belt??

Good to see that all aspects in this is fairly clear now.
I was lead astray by Avenger6's post about the oil tank position, I see it's now edited for clarity.
I guess Adelaide is not the place to get hot door sills either due to the HVAC air flow, at least at this time of year. My sills certainly gets warm, but we've just had 10 cm's of snow.
Cheers,
Tore

It seems that a lot of rennchaps do not use their 993 in cold winter.
The right seat belt gets warmed by the 01L-RES option and by the oil and air feeds to the front.
But the LEFT seat belt gets warm as well when using heater, park the car, and come back. Doesn't iron the middle of your neck-tie as the right one, but it does get warm.
worth every penny.
