Brought back great memories
Jean Luc Chereau is a gentleman driver who lived about 20 miles away from me in Normandy when I was a teenager. He was running the family business and using his company sponsorship to fund his passion for cars and racing. He raced in GT2 mainly and only on Porsches. Even though he also had a Ferrari 550 delivered to him by Schumi himself. I got to see him (Jean Luc not Schumi!!) actually drive that car at Le Mans from the pit. My dad told him I was a Porsche nut so he sent me an invitation. I remember seeing that car spitting fire through the exhaust at night while downshifting before the Dunlop curves with the rotors glowing red and a noise with the throttle blips to die for, this memory has stayed with me.
Unfortunately he was not the best business man and lost control of his company so he no longer races.
Cool video
