Thanks for all comments, great to see so many dutch replies! Some more photo's from the museum and B500 attached. The great thing about this museum is that there are no barriers between you and the cars.

6000 RPM in 6th would be top speed, no?
Maybe it was more like 5000 RPM, I did not dare to look at the instruments to long!. I must say that driving the 993 at very high speeds is not that relaxed. I have an Audi S6 that is sooo much easier to drive at those speeds. I'm guessing the Audi A8 is even better!

Sure, actually this is the first year that it will be stored for the winter. It used to me my daily driver and as such spend many days and nights on the street downtown Amsterdam!

That K45-286 is Spittal/Drau, Austria registration, town of my birth.

How do you know it is Spittal/Drau area? K most likely means Kärnten which is where Porsche built their first 356 in "Gmünd in Kärnten".

These days that have letters that indicate an area not just the province. For example these days, plates starting with SP does stand for Spittal an der Drau, or HE for Hermagor.

When I drove the Schwarzwaldhochstrasse it was drenched in fog and top speed was 30mph. We didn’t see a single tree.
