Make sure you order the correct length to go thru your wall / foundation.

I also had one installed through the wood frame wall of my garage at the beach house, it's a must to wash the sand off the underside of the Jeeps and SUV.

I guess I'm lucky - my washer hookup is in the garage, so I have hot water there to fill the bucket.

Frankly, I don't see the point in running hot water thru the hose. You never touch that unless you're holding your thumb over the end of the hose.

Need some common sense here all... Of course if it's below freezing you aren't going to spray scalding hot water on your car. The whole point of these is to have a supply of warm water when it's not warm out. I only wash my car when it's say 40 degrees or better. At that temperature, it sure is nice having a warm bucket of water, warm water to help with the washing and rinsing process, etc. I've been doing this all fall, winter and spring long for 15 years in this house with not one negative side effect.

I guess I'm just sloppy, I tend to get a little wet when I wash cars. I've done it with strictly cold water and I've done it for the last 3 winters with a blend of hot & cold and I know which way I prefer it. Each to their own though.

I had this Moen bad-boy installed about 2 years ago. IIRC, to have the new mixer put in, and run a copper hot water line over (cold was already there) the charge was about $450. This is on the inside front wall of my heated garage. Makes spring time and fall time car washes very nice.
