Default What Color Should "Carrera"Emblem and "S" Emblem be?

Any of you know what color the "Carrera" Emblem and the "S" Emblem on a 98 C2S should be?
I have seen Silver"Carrera" with Darker Silver"S" Also Black "Carrera" with Darker Silver "S".
Car has a Factory Aero Kit on it,so it Mounts on the Wing, not the Decklid,if that matters.
Any help Appreciated

I don't know if this helps, but, on NB 993s, "Carrera 4" badges were silver, and "Carrera" badges were black.

I am thinking that you are correct that C4's and C4S's were Silver and Carrera NB and C2S's were Black with Grey S.Getting ready to order parts and just want what was on the car from the factory

On my two previous Vesuvius Carrera S cars the badges were stahl grau. I mean both the "Carrera" text and the "S". However it might have been just on the Vesuvius cars since the "Carrera" in black and the "S" in stahl grau seems to be more common.

I have a black split grille deck lid from a 98 C2S that's waiting to be painted for my C4S. The carrera is black and the S is grey.

Sorry for the poor iphoto...

My 98 all stock factory aero C2S came with black Carrera and Stahl grau S. Been thinking of replacing with red "S" though....cause I like "rice" and it will match my Lloyd's floormats.

I painted my S in red to match my red brakes, etc. I also painted my engine grill from black to body color. Call me crazy, but I could care less about stock when it comes to small bits like this.

On my 97 C2S the "Carrera" script is black, and the "S" is a dark metalic grey. The script is more of a painted finish whereas the S is a brushed matte metalic finish (just like Nurburger's).

Just want to know what is original to car.Part# for a Carrera C2S comes up as being Stahl Grau"Steel Grey".Are there that many C2S's out there with Black "Carrera" Emblems that were actually Steel Grey originally and replaced with Black by mistake, when damaged?
Real curious to hear from people with C2S's,as to what is on there car and is it original to the car or replaced.
Thanks

I think the black with the stahl grau "S" is the original with some exceptions (depending on exterior color) where the whole badge "Carrera S" in stahl grau. The latter is the case for the Vesuvius cars and maybe there are others but I wouldn't know, others might chime in here..

The red 'S' looks awesome.

Those small details are what separates good from great IMO

That looks awesome Goof. I like the fact you didn't do the wides either. I may go back myself to stock or motorsound exhaust tips. They need to be real shiny though.
