Not many in that color combo...

The pic of all 3 of your family Porsches and the story behind them all brings a tear to the eye of any Porsche aficionado. Just beautiful.

Steve, It took about 6 months to find this color combo, I was first just looking
for a C2S but came across this C4S and fell in love with it. I must admit that
I was pleasantly supprised when I saw the color in person, the photos on line
made it look a much brighter red. The car had been sitting in a car collection
somewhere out in Calif. for many years which is why the mileage is so low.

My father was the main influence on the color combo, I was never much of a
red interior guy until he started finding his two dream cars from a great
Porsche restorer out in Calif. just north of San Diego.

I hope to one day pass this tradition on to my two sons.

Awesome cars Richard! I looked for a silver/red car for a long time before settling for silver/marble grey. It's nice that you and dad can not only bond over the P-cars, but silver-red p-cars!!! Enjoy!

I am about 1/2 hour east of the river but spend a day or 2 per week in St Charles County. If you are ever in the area and have time for a drive let me know, maybe a couple of other P car owners and I could meet up for a weekend drive if you want. Drop me an email if you would like at rsr91128@hotmail.com

I would love to see your new 993 someday!

On a seperate note, there is a PCA DE at Gateway coming up on Sunday November 13th. It is for advanced and instructors only (so I am not allowed ) but I will probably stop by and check out the first event to reopen the track. If you want to head over it may be a pretty good day, depending on the weather.

Have fun with the 993, it is OK to stare at it

Erik,

I pretty much now know where you are located, I grew up in St Louis
and am a current memeber of the PCA club. I have heard of the
reopening GIR on the 13th for 'experts only' . But if the weather is
nice, you will see me there with my my father and maybe one of my
kids (depending on which one of them does not have a soccer game)..........

PS. I stare at it all the time !!!

Great family history with Porsche and great introduction!

I looked for my car for six months and I don't believe I ever saw a 993 advertised in your colour combo. Great find!
