My name is Richard and this is my first post. I know better than to not attach photos along with this post. First, a little bit about myself. I was fortunate to grow up in a household where my father loved Porsches. As a kid, I remember countless weekends helping him restore 911's at our home. So, it was inevitable that I followed in his footsteps. To own a 911 was always a dream of mine as far back as I can remember, but even more so , to own a 993, the last of the true breed of 911's. My first Porsche was a '94 968, black/ black. It was a great car and I loved driving it. But I had not reached my goal of owning a 911. Just last year, my goal became a reality! I purchased a '96 993, Polar Silver with Red interior. The color choice was influenced by my father, it was not an easy color combination to find. He refers to this combination as an old school Porsche color. My father currently owns a '59 356A Convertible D Super, and a '63 356B 1600 S Coupe. As you can tell from the pictures, all of the cars are Silver with Red interior. Now we can enjoy each others cars together.
I first heard about this website when I was thinking about making my first modification to my car. I changed my car over to the Fister Stage III exhaust system. Ever since Darin told me about this site, I have been hooked. I have learned alot about my car from reading the different threads that have been posted. I also can't say enough good things about Darin and FD Motorsports. I have had the Stage III's for 4 weeks now and I love them! Everytime I start my car I can't help but smile.
Factory options included: Flamenco Red Leather interior, Power Seat Pkg., Aluminum Instrument Dials, Alum. Shifter/Break handle, Motor Sound Pkg., Sound Pkg. Plus, Rear Wiper, Soft Ruffled Leather Seats, 31,000 miles.

Congrats and absolutely LOVE the color combo! You should bring that beauty down to Porsche Palooza (www.pca-palooza.com) in a couple of weeks since you're so close-by. Would love to see it.

Great to see another Porschephile and 993 owner close by! The Porsche bug runs in our family as well.
