Hey, what the hell happened to my headlight washers! Did the factory forget to install them?

That was one of the first things I checked up on. I never use it, but I gotta know how to operate the car--all of it. You're all kidding, right?
Dan ... you read the manual, but you didn't read the thread ... all of us knew what they were ... Jeeezus.

One of the first things I do when I get any new car is to sit in it and read the manual. Not that I remember everything...

I tried to do that with Scarlett, but the $)*#(*$)# manual is in French? (it is a canadian car that originally was shipped to Quebec for first delivery).

Anyone have an English Turbo manual for a 96/97 they are willing to part with?

Cheers,

Mike

I think it was the beverage(s) that accompanied my reading of the manual, that resulted in some knowledge gaps.

That was a pleasant experience, out on the back patio: read for an hour, go out to the garage and look at the new car; read for another hour...

I don't know what that is, but it sounds nasty.

I did read my manual when I got my car and asked my mechanic one day about the usefullness of them ... he said "DO NOT use the headlight washers. The motors (I can't remember exactly what part?) fail and cause all sorts of problems."

So, I have never used mine. I may get a front end respray at some point and then I'll delete them.

Actually, Marc said they work REALLY well and have bullet proof motors and hoses .. I guess the hoses are about 1/2" diameter! Anyway, I guess Europeans use them much more ... and he said he uses his a lot when it's snowing (!) Again, I think if I had a TT or C4(S) as a year round DD, I'd probably use them routinely ...

You guys think that's bad?

When I bought my first 993.... I read the manual front to back .

4 years later I was out with the soon to be new owner of my car and it starts pouring rain.

I had no idea where the windshield wiper controls were. That was a bit scary...

At that Point I realized that in 4 years....I havent driven my 993 in rain before.

How do you say "Garage Queen"?

The best part of that scare is that I realized my car had Cruise control....LOL!!!! Hadn't used that in 4 years too!!!
