I may be too late to this post, but my wind deflector clicks in on one side. If the red button is not pushed in, it cannot be removed. It appears like the button sticking out of yours is not correct. Does it move?

Yep, you are missing a spring inside that bracket. Looks like a new bracket is in order.

Not only do you not have the spring, you do not have the big red button! The one on top next to teh little arrow is not supposed to move at all. The big one on the left of my pic moves up and down and is attached to that internal wire spring.

I think the entire new bracket might be needed. Should not be very expensive.

Ordered from Sunset here in Oregon.....I didn't notice the red button on the picture....so focused on the spring! I thought you guys were being funny with the "big red button" comments. I was trying to press the metal stud on the top of the bracket....the one by the arrow....it was not moving at all..and I figured that all 993 owners had massive forearms and could MOVE the damn metal stud.

I wonder if my "big red button and spring" is inside the car somewhere.......

Pictures help!

Thanks.....68 bucks plus 6 bucks shipping for the new part from Porsche.

On another matter, going to drag the "new" old wheels to the resurfacing guy later in the week...he says will cost from 20 bucks to 100 bucks per wheel. (I'm betting closer to $100 as they have that Porsche emblem on them!)

Is that a fair price? He is the guy used by the BMW and Mercedes Dealers locally.

Take the Porsche caps off before you take it to resurfacing guy. No need to show red button to the bull.

The price sounds very reasonable at $100 a wheel. If he does it for less, great!

Hi there, I am new to this forum and have a question. I live in New Zealand and am looking at buying a wind deflector in from the States for my 1995 993. There seems to be some confusion as to which is the right part number for that year/model. Vehicle chassis no is: WPOZZZ99ZSS331034. It has lap belts (two point)in the back seat, whereas some 95 models and later have diagonal (3 point ) belts. The car was manufactured in March 95, so would probably fit in to the 93 - 94 bracket. Is there any way I can confirm the correct part number for the deflector? Any help much appreciated.
