I've been meaning to post these here since Jäger sent them to me. We pulled our cars together for a quick photo-shoot Saturday evening and in the meantime, Alois Ruf and his daughter (Aloisa, I think ..?) strolled over after looking at the cars and started talking with Marc Clowes from 9m .. and I totally missed it. I guess he asked Marc if my car was one of the factory cars made for the U.A.E., a statement that I would have liked to have gotten some more detail on ... are those the mysterious 6 customer request 'Special Turbo-look Speedsters' that Adrian Streather talks about being built in 1997? Also, when Marc told him no, that he (9m) had done the conversion, Mr. Ruf said "Well, it's just exquisite. We watch your work online all the time!" Needles to say, a great compliment ... BTW, I think the Prada bag is real ..

Look how hard it is to herd the cats for even a local weekend thing out here. I'm up for setting a date, and helping with organizing something later this year. Make up another thread and see where it goes?

Here's a fun bit of information for all of us that drove the track at this event. I wondered why it felt like I got a little 'air time' ... :-)
Did You Know?
The Corkscrew plunges 59 feet between the entrance of Turn 8 and the exit of Turn 8A - the equivalent of a 5 1/2 story drop - in only 450 feet of track.
