Yes, they are - good eye.

Like other's, I designed my shop to be functional - no carpet, bar, or pool table. Give it a couple of month's and the place will be a disaster with winter projects in full swing.

I went for the "no clutter" look....

Yes - I made the cabinets and the shelves you cant see (where the bike is) and did the layout and flooring.

The key is to have light - and lots of it.

Simon.

I purchased these from Costco and have been really happy with them, simple clean lines. The cost, delivered, was about 1/4 of Gladiator.

I went with the Craftsman cabinets. The way the doors are designed they hold a lot of crap.

I don't quite keep my garage as clean as some of these guys!

That's Jack Olsen's beautiful "RSR" and garage, both awesome, as far as garages go, that's a real garage.
Check out the video of the very nifty lift installation of his.

Thanks!

And it even fits in this forum, since that's a 993 motor in the old Porsche.

The motor was rebuilt this year -- all inside that garage (well, except the machine-shop part of the work).

Ive got a bunch of the Gladiator stuff, and I've very happy. The work benches are beautiful and rock solid, with the wood top. I've built a couple of battleship workbenchescin my past, never will feel the need again.

I agree, that's a real garage.
Love the work tables, and it kind of has that old industrial shop look going on too.
A couple of years ago they sold off everything in the Chrysler plant that shut down in Newark Delaware, the tables, cabinets and colors in Jack's garage remind me of some of the things in the plant - would have loved to get my hands on some of the old work stations/tables.

This thread is perfect timing! My new garage is just being framed and the floor will be poured in the next week or so. It's got 11ft ceiling, so a 4-post lift is definitely planned. Still on the fence about the mid-rise in the floor and trying to work out.

11 feet is enough for a 993. You should be able to take a std height lift to the top lock. My only complaint about a 4 post lift is the footprint. It can make a big garage seem small.

I don't have any issues because I added the sliding bridge jack but it runs the cost up.

No worries. The garage will be small, which is why I am going to stack the cars. 10ft wide, 36ft. deep
