"PORSCHE 993 WIDE BODY CABRIOLET. BEAUTIFUL YELLOW OVER BLACK. VERY RARE TURBO SUSPENSION, BIG RED BRAKES, CARBON FIBRE INTERIOR, CUSTOM STEREO WITH IPOD HOOKUP. VERY FAST, HANDLES AS IF ON RAILS. TOP IS PERFECT. NEWER BRAKES, SUSPENSION BITS, TIRES AND CLUTCH. JUST SMOGGED AND REGISTERED. 125,000.00 miles. RUNS PERFECTLY. RECENT TOP END, ENGINE PURRS LIKE NEW. NEED TO SELL FOR AN INVESTMENT. $30,000.00 or best offer. "
but just curiously wondering, this can't be factory widebody right? since they never made one? even the turbo cabs from beverly hills weren't widebody. so this is just a conversion?

I think you are correct... either someone went to HUGE bother to create a wide body cab, or the seller is confused about the difference between and wide and narrow body. The "rare turbo suspension"? What is that? The slightly stiffer rear sway bar? BTW, it was my understanding that BH Porsche built a few wide body cabs... not turbo cabs.

Anyway, the short answer is no. Recently, Magdaddy made me aware of an ad in the PCA classifieds that basically stated the same thing .. going on about the 993 Widebody Cabriolet that this gentleman had for sale. Many 'not-so-astute' owners of 993's and laymen call all 993's 'Widebody' cars because ... well, they are compared to the 964 and previous models, and the subtle differences between the Narrow Body cars and the 'S' and Turbo models eludes most of the observing population. Anyway, no Yellow Beverly Hills widebody cabs were done .. there was my car, Arena Red, then the White car ... and Ocean Blue metallic tip, a black car and an Arctic Silver. That's it.

There was somebody else on Pelican listing a NB cab as a WB a month or so ago. When confronted he said he didn't know the difference. It seems to be a prevalent misconception among cab owners. I haven't seen as many mislabeled coupes for sale.

I sent the seller a note asking. How do you know it's a widebody? Maybe I'm wrong. He sent back this comment.
"You will note the cascade wing, it is designed for the widebody"
