Default WTB: 17" Winter Wheels for 993 NB

Looking to daily drive my '96 993 C4 through the NJ winter. I *could* have all-seasons (Conti DWS) put on my Cup 2 wheels but would much prefer to have dedicated snow tires on a separate set of wheels.

If anyone has a straight and true set of wheels for sale either local pick-up in NY/NJ/CT or via shipping please let me know. OEM, high quality replicas or aftermarket.

Thanks much in advance!

Boris

I have 2 sets of 17" Boxster rims for sale (7" ET55 and 8.5" ET50) - tires are shot but rims are true. One set is powder coated red and the other is grey.

Asking $350/set (4 rims) or $600/both sets (8 rims) - obo, plus shipping from Canada.

Marc

Please note: these were used for track duty so are not perfect cosmetically.

Am I correct in assuming that the offsets are right to bolt right on to a NB 993?

I am no 993 expert.

I believe that the rears will require a small spacer. Those who know better would correct me.

Lev, are you set on 17s for snows?

Fronts require the spacer to clear the calipers.. still worth it..

Fronts, of course, not rears.

Good price, that's for sure.

BTW, nothing wrong with the rims - I've moved to 18" rims for track use (car is 90% track) and they are just taking up space....I have 6 other sets of rims already and 2 more on the way soon too so they have to go!

17" Boxster wheels fit on my NB 993 just fine. No spacers. Not sure of a C4 however, they may have a different width on the front.

Boris,

I've got a set of Cup IIs from my 968 that may do the trick. They have a 993 part number. The rims are straight and in excellent condition. Center caps are included. One rim has a small scratch. They come with Pilot Sports which have decent tread but are old and showing signs of dry rot. I'm in Bucks county PA, not too far from you. The top of the last photo shows the scratch. I'd like to get $600.

I have a set of Cup IIs from my 1995 C2 for sale. They are straight with no curb rash, but some light scratches on the crown by some of the lug nut holes that can be touched up before shipping if desired. The tires have 8,000 miles on them. Center caps are not included. $400 for the wheels or $600 including the tires, plus shipping. If you want to get an estimate on UPS ground shipping, box weight of rims with tires is 92 lbs each box. 2 boxes each with dimensions of 25X25X23. Shipped from 98005.
Specs:
Fronts 7JX17 ET55 993 362 124 00
Bridgestone Potenza S02A 205/50 ZR17

Rears 9JX17 ET55 993 362 128 00
Bridgestone Potenza S02A 255/40 ZR17

Nils... Looking for rims for AX. Want to get DOT... Feeling competitive ;-)..

Marc.. Let me know.....

BTW... I have a brother named Boris, so when I first read your reply, I presumed that this was somehow a joke, cause my brother likes to bust my ***** about my P-Car obsession... LOL...

Lev, listen to me now and believe me later. Do not go with race rubber. Just say no. I'm dead serious. Do a couple seasons on good street tires. Seat time is much more important at this point.

Having said that it might not be a bad idea to get a set of 17" wheels and put something like Toyo R1R or Direzza Star Specs on them for autocross. OTOH, changing wheels for events gets very old very fast. Even when they are my 25lb wheel/tire combo, let alone 50lb Porsche bricks.
