Default Anyone know what this is?

Below is a crappy cell phone picture of the rear shelf of my 95 C4. The picture is taken from the passenger side of the car (rear wiper at the top). Right in the middle of the shelf is something that no one has been able to identify. Anybody have a clue as to what this is?

TIA

Your guess is as good as mine. Actually better! I hadn't thought of that.

I don't think the previous owner used the car on a track. For myself the only reason I would add camera mount to the back shelf would be for video while at the track. But it is a possibility that the previous owner may have had a camera back there. I will see if anyone else has any thoughts on what it could be.

Thanks for the input.

The car is a US car with "rear seat delete" so I don't think they would have provided an anchor for rear seat belts. Maybe someone else with factory RSD in their car might chime in if they have the same item in their car.

It is a satellite receiver antenna or cell phone booster antenna, most likely the latter. I've seen some these back in the mid to late nineties.

Bret-- Looks like a button. Have you pushed it?

You got the rare Winnebago Edition rear seats

Don't push it unless you have it grounded to a recovery station...

For saving my life I would gladly buy you a beer. Are you going to RR IV? If so I will meet you in the Biergarten.

Jager, on the other hand, whom I know is going to RR, is going to owe me a couple of brews, at least.
