Default OT: BMW blew it this time! Active audio to enhance exhaust note

Taken from the 997 GT3 forum. Can you imagine to enhance the in-cabin sound, BMW uses the stereo to do it!! Ha.ha...might be a cheaper way to get that ITB sound without the cost!

BMW totally crossed over to the dark side.....

I think its great, especially if you can turn it off.

I don't care what the car sounds like on the outside.

If I can hear some noise, when I want to, on the inside and its whisper silent outside, that sounds great to me.

the engine is a huge step up from that torqueless piece of **** V10.

If it needs the stereo to get some noise out of it, I'm fine with that.
