I'm going to be okay.

Never thought it would be me, but like my surgeon said to Robert and me: "Why not you?"
She said: " I never thought I'd have a child with downs syndrome. "My family is all doctors and attorney's." "Why me?" "Why NOT me?"

She has a point.


There is no reason. It just happened and now we are taking care of it. It was early, it can be fixed. Done and Done. I just have to wait for the two surgeons to get their schedules to mesh and then do it. It's not going to be fun. It is not going to be easy. It's going to be probably even more emotional then than it is now, BUT I will be healthy again and that is all I want. Life is good.

Well, this makes meeting you and Robert in Monterey even more special. I can't help but think that what you did, participating in this 'race for the cure' to help others first, must have helped you deal this week. I am so sorry to hear of your recent bad news. It was a pleasure meeting you and Robert at RRIV.
Medical technology has come a long way in successfull treatment of breast cancer.
Sometimes things don't seem to make sense, but I'm confident that you will overcome this obstacle and continue to follow your dreams.
Here's looking forward to sharing a glass of wine witth you at RRV in four years!

I had a tough day today mentally, but I was told to expect an emotional roller coaster and today I felt like I was on Space mountain with a full belly, sort of sick and numb. I took my meds so tonight I'll get to sleep and that ALWAYS helps. Sleep is good. I just want to get everything scheduled and on the books and get this chapter closed asap. The new Chapter will be the best one yet.
