I saw it on the autobahn last year in Germany, doing 125 KPH...as I passed it
I actually prefer your current 993 set up, from the interior color to the wheels, etc. For the $25k premium you'll pay to "trade up," may not be worth it...now if it was orange

Subscribed!! entertaining thread
OP, you've obviously got a healthy budget and the 4.0 is a great car but I would personally wait to see the 991 up close before making a decision. I would personally keep the your classic rb993S than buying an outgoing model.

guys, lets FOCUS on original question of what this car will sell for. Just because some skank comes on here and questions our sexuality because we happen to like RB is getting ridiculous.
So far NoHT0 is the only one who has placed his guess. Who else is going to?

I guess my masculinity is in question because I love RB!
Should I tell my wife?
GLWS... whatever happens, it is your car. Personally, my next 993 will be intended to be my last. For me it is the ultimate in representing what I love about these cars. However, I can appreciate the appeal of most all other models... Boxster excluded... ;-)

This thread has 10 tons of entertainment value sprinkled throughout it! As to the original question raised:
GYMGUY,
As a RL 993 frequenter, I value these folks opinions, but... Personally, I don't understand "low mileage" car treatment at all. The ROI on most any car is pretty low (ie, negative), unless extremely rare (ok, so that color is, but the car is not) and you bought it for a steal when people didn't want them. Yes, the mileage is low-ish, but there are cars out there with 150 miles on them. THAT'S low mileage. You obviously didn't buy it for the investment (aside from investment in one's self, THE best investment).
As for "preserving" it, as is being suggested...that I don't get either. If we all did that, we'd meet up (rarely), park the cars and walk around talking about how great they are, and posing for pictures with our "stunning examples". Sounds like a gathering of Ferrari owners... (Just kidding, Robin!)
I just got back from visiting the Porsche Museum in Zuffenhausen. The most striking thing was this.... The cars have dings, scrapes and scratches on them. In a museum! It's because Porsche takes these cars out and does more than show them. They DRIVE them on tracks around the world. (I got to see the Sunoco 917-30 at Laguna Seca in '98, belching fire and leaving black streaks under the tires as the 1200hp kicked in! In a race with other period cars as well.) Heck, even the 993TT example in the museum had 20k-km or so on it, IIRC.
These cars were designed and built to be driven. EVERY time I get in the car and drive it to work, it puts a smile on my face....probably why you bought it too. If you want to daily drive the car, DO IT!
As for the 4.0...there was one in the Porsche Zentrum across from the Museum...I failed to take a picture of it. Unless you're going to flog it on a track, it will be 1/2 as interesting and fun to drive as the 993.
