That's nuts! Won't a 964 seal work? Surely there can't be that much difference. Hope someone can chime in on this as I've got a driver's side seal that's a little chafed and was thinking about replacing it down the road a little.

Don't cry too much. Look at the door seal price for a Cabriolet. Now that's something to cry about.

964 ones do fit but are not as good, a lot of of 964 owners fit the 993 ones, so their must be something in it.

I'm sure you know about this, but I've used them on old 'merican cars with great success.....not sure what the dimensions for the original seal might be.....its not genuine, but its a rubber seal for Gods sake. Try under the "Secialty extrusions ---->dense extrusions". I've no idea if this might work!

If this is a religious issue, I'll go back into hiding!

so, as you know the cab version is a one piece and covers both sides

It runs $450 for the seal

That's a great price. I have seen them at the dealers for close to $800.00. The price of going topless just came down at FD Motorsports.

Are you saying that FD is encouraging public toplesness, Mike?

That is a really good price. I know which door to knock on when I need one. My roof is being replaced in a week or two, but I think the seal is still OK.

I thought I needed to have my head examined when I purchased a new 993 driver's side door seal from Sunset 2 or 3 years ago for $100...

Of course, it's still in its packaging.

More and more I'm thinking that Porsche parts are an excellent investment.

Look at Sport Seats and RSD's. Wish I would have bought a load of 3 spoke steering wheels and airbags in 2000-01.
