Changing RHD 993s to LHD??

It, can be easily done if you have the parts and tools. Drill open all spot wells from the top A-frame over the door hinge and that height in chassis and take of the front-end. Get a LHD front-end and weld it in on a chassis straight, gas tank, and steering rack. And you are almost done. If you think it is easily done. Do it but don’t try to pay someone for it. And don’t worry you will only notice that it has a different VIN from the LHD drive and a different chassis numbers.
Resale value should be outstanding.

Having had the fun of stripping the wire harness from a parts 993 chassis, I have some appreciation of the challenge of wrestling one back into the same configuration .... can't imagine how much fun one would have doing a mirror image reversal when switching drive sides

Dont do it. Coming from the land of the conversion from Left to Right - it has not been done here successfully.
Much cheaper to sell and buy the drive side you want.
The earlier 911's (pre '89) were an easier bet - from 964 then 993 it got more and more complex. Its not just obvious stuff like pedals SW etc but the unseen stuff like oil cooler lines and PS lines and all the other misc hardware...
Sure - it can be done - but we can also fly to the moon - but if you want to play you have to pay.....
Simon.

What about just buying a USA left hooker, and then just driving that in Scotland.
Yes the wheel is on the wrong side, but in a car this size it hardly makes any difference.
I've been driving a LHD 993 in London - don't even think about it.

Practically all the body parts differ, even fenders, and certainly the drivers tub, and the holy firewall.
But you can exchange the engine and gearbox from a LHD to a RHD with only one part to change, the accelerator cable.
