I wrestle with this every time one of these threads comes up. I love my MaxFlows, but I'm sooo tempted by the siren song of Supercups. I haven't been around any in at least 5 yrs., so I need an in-person refresher before puling the trigger.

If you can, find a first generation set. They have baffles that can be removed. You can run them unbaffled, wrap the baffles in fiberglass or insert them unwrapped. Basically, if gives you three options and three different sounds. IIRC the later generations had the baffles welded in.

I have first generation Supercups. After a while the fiberglass baffles burn out and you have to repack them. I replaced the stock baffles with CC Inserts which is a more low maintenance solution.

Talking

forget the baffles, you'll get use to the sound, plus it keeps folks off your bumper in traffic.
