You are right-once you start with the custom leather You have to go all the way or else the vinyl looks really bad next to leather.

I've been planning for a while on eventually doing the dash, center console, shift boot, and airbag. Curious if the leather shops offer a volume discount. Really the only thing I don't love about the 993 is the vinyl interior. It's beneath the quality and elegance of the rest of the car.

Some are factory leather, & not vinyl. My C4 has leather just about everywhere. :thumb up:

The factory leather dash is like $5500 from the dealer!

I know -- too bad more 993's didn't have the full leather option. Would love to have that.

Leather was always an option on every surface with all Porsches. Just depended on how many leather surface option boxes the buyer checked off at time of purchase.

I have seen some 993's with leather covered dash vents,speaker grills & even gauge trim rings. Now that's over the top!
