Slim and simple...nothing like the KISS principle.
As for the voltmeter design, I sourced the components from Mouser Electronics (no order minimums). It is hooked up directly to my battery as they should be. Drawing less then 2 mA, it can be wired in the always-on condition (no switch or relay needed).
I'd like to see what others have done if they've installed a voltmeter...placement, bought or made one, etc?
