EXHAUST?

Is your engine stock? Or is this a race car where you're trying to shave as much weight as possible. If your motor is stock, headers won't increase your power. Porsche did a fine job with the stock design.

straight pipes off the stock headers work well (assuming noise is not a problem at your track)

They will, however, look cool to your mechanic and whenever you're under the car and may be lighter than the stock headers/heat exchangers.

No to headers, not because you don't have Motec, but because the stock headers are excellent, and your current motor's heads, cams, P&C's, etc. cannot take advantage of a performance header's better (or different) flow.
Try doing a search for "headers" in the thread titles on the 993 forum.

I remember seeing a thread somewhere (maybe on RL) where the owner removed the tin from around the OEM heat exchangers leaving just the exhaust manifold. They had been refinished and looked quite impressive...very nice bends.
I always get a chuckle from aftermarket exhaust manufacturers advertising their numbers. Notice how they give you a number at who knows how many kazillion RPM instead of providing power and torque curves and if they do I'd want to see those curves overlapping those of the stock system...of course, done by a third party.

You aleady have headers!
Cut the heater boxes off and you'll see a beautiful set of headers...although not as pretty as the Fabspeed headers. This is one of the prime reasons why the 993 3.6 cranks out 270 HP in contrast to the 964 3.6 @ 247.
I have the Fabspeed 200 cell cats and X pipes...beautiful looking, great sound with my FD Motorsports Stage I muffs.

Just to add another data point here... I dyno'd my car at the official Dynojet at the Summit Point NASA race in April two years in a row (same dyno, same conditions, same dyno operator). Only change in my car was a chip(custom job by Peter Dawe) and headers. First year, I pulled 258 HP at the rear wheels, one year later I pulled 274 HP (mixed blessing, as I had to add 200 lbs of ballast to race that weekend). Not sure how much of the power gain was chip and how much was headers, but I gained 18 HP... not to mention removing all of this crap from the car:
