I'm betting as soon as you call it was a "typo".

$19k for a 97 coupe with 37k in miles. Would be a good price.

Too good to be true; you know what that means.

Looks to be too good a price. Maybe the Targa market is really soft.

That was post 356.

100% scam...plus no phone number listed; another tell tale sign that it's not a legit ad.

Looks like someone's flipping it for a loss.

There was a similar scam I found on yahoo autos for a nice low mileage (around 40k mi) '95 Coupe in Yellow, asking $19,500. I emailed the seller and 'she' gave me a song and dance about getting a divorce and the car being held by Paypal and I would be able to review the car for 5 days while my cash was held in trust. If the price is too low to be true it probably is, Paypal is simply a payment service and does not hold funds or cars either for that matter. Don't give your info out to these people, I'm already nervous I emailed them.

Dear experts,

The cars.com link you pasted up there isn't working anymore, can one of you tell me why you believe it's a scam?

Gunter

Is the car really in Maui? It's a shame this thread didn't pop up last week since I was just there for vacation and would have done a RennFax for you. What are the odds??

The eBay listing may be legit and another person ripped off the photos and placed a scam ad on Cars.com.
