I use Cantech Automotive in Syracuse, NY. First rate independent shop. They are the best and know the 993 well. They would be great for a PPI for any high end foreign or domestic car. 2 hours east of Buffalo. 315-452-1168.

In Buffalo (Williamsville) the Porsche dealer (yes, the dealer) has an excellent shop. May be worth a call. I bought my 993 there and they had some German old time techs in the shop. 716-633-5200. Dan Gabamonte is the parts manager. He knows me and can steer you in the right direction. Use my name.

2 hours east of Buffalo
Unfortunately I think it's closer to 3 hours so if the car is in Buffalo it's probably too far.

I had a bad experience with Cantech on a recent PPI, pretty serious "oversight" on their part IMO. PM me if you want more details but I would not recommend them.

I used cantech for a PPI. They did a thorough job and helped me avoid buying a very bad car
