Default 993 improvements

Hello folks,

My name is mathias and i am 26 years old from belgium. I have been reading a bit on this forum already but there is so much information on :P
I bought my first porsche in february this year and i love it !
Its a aventura green 993 NB from 1996 with the non varioram engine, 272P.
Now the questions start.
Im looking to improve the car in a few ways.
i want the bucket seats of the RS, but are there replicas for it from recaro?
id like a different steering wheel aswell with airbag if possible that i can get closer to me, dont really know how to solve this problem. havent found any kind of spacer yet.
ill probably switch the suspension to PSS10 aswell
should i change the enginge mounts aswell ? ive been reading about those WEVO mounts, do they supply the transmission mounts aswell ? couldnt find them on their site for the 993 ?
ive changed the mufflers for DANSK mufflers and will get 100cell sportkatalyst probably next week.
Im looking for some more upgrades on the enginge to gain a bit more power. what do you guys suggest ?
maybe a different air intake to start with ?
what other mods should i think about aswell ?
nice to meet all of you guys !
cheers

Congrats. Nice car. Aventurine green is a very classy colour.
Don't mod your car too much unless you want it to become a mean track machine...

Great looking car. I think everyone wants the hardback sport seats but they are very pricey. You do not mention how many miles you have on the car. I ask because you might not need to replace the engine mounts unless you are thinking about RS or semi-solid mounts which are nice and give the rear end a nice planted feel, but you will have a little more drivetrain noise in the cockpit. I would not worry about the transmission mount as these rarely fail - have your mechanic check but unless it has failed this would be very far down on my list to ever do. PSS10's are nice but I would seriously consider the KW3's - I have not personally owned them but there are a lot of people on this forum that have them are really like them.

Finally, what is your goal with the car? Daily driver, DE, weekend trips, some combination of these and what sacrifices are you willing to make - ride quality, cabin noise? We can make suggestions that will make your car a real monster on the track but the first pot hole you hit you will loose a filling. Or you could make a car you could take a 1,000 mile trip in comfortably but will not be as settled on the track.

delanobe, looks nice ! what do you own now ? where are you frrom in belgium?

the car has 92000 km's at the moment, and its gonna be a daily driver and weekend car aswell
i also have an audi A4 cabrio 1.8T from 2003
but it has to become a daily driver with some oempf in if you know what i mean. ill probably put it on the track aswell, but thats gonna be once or twice a year probably
for those mounts, giving the rear a nice planted feel sounds like a thing i want that why i wanted to go for those WEVO mounts, wouldnt it be normal to replace the trannie mount at the same time by something stiffer ?
thanks already !

I have heard positive comments on both the WEVO and RS mounts. My preference is the RS. If you do a search of the forum you will find plenty of comments on both. If you want the transmission mount, go for it, but the transmission mount does not see the same forces and wear and tear that the motor mounts do so it does not wear out the same - Carnewal.com has the RS motor and transmission mounts. Remember, you are going to have more cabin noise with this setup.

I forgot to mention, if you decide to do something with the air intake get either the OEM motorsound air filter cover or the cup version (Fabspeed makes one). I do not recommend getting something like the EVOM system because it moves the MAF which can cause other issues.
