Default Looking for Feedback on Potential Turbo Twist Wheel Purchase

Hi folks,
Connected with another Rennlister who's selling a set of turbo twist wheels. I love the "classic" look of those wheels and have been thinking about buying them for a while, but I'm pretty clueless on pricing and appropriateness for my specific car.

The wheels are: OEM solid spoke turbo twist. 18x10 and 18x9 for the front.

I wanted to see if anyone else has any feedback on whether a) they're good for a narrow body C2 (mine's a '96 coupe) and b) whether the price of 750 for the set of four is a good price (the wheels look to have minimal (or maybe not any) curb rash so they seem to be in great shape).

As always, thanks for any feedback/guidance!

On the rear, a NB needs the 65mm offset. The OE front wheel was either 7.5" or 8". The 9" were probably originally Boxster rear wheels. The 9" front wheel works better with a wider tire on a 993.

Make sure you check the offsets on front and rear.

$750 is a reasonable price for a set in very good condition.

If the fitment and condition is correct then $750 is a very good deal. I bought a set of refinished for my 993 and it was significantly more money although they are in perfect shape.

What size front tire do you plan on using? A 9" wide wheel is better suited for a 245/35-18 tire. Also, with a 9" tire, your camber will need to be pretty aggressive, and you'll want to roll your fenders.

jimbo, thanks for the feedback. unfortunately i'm pretty ignorant about wheels... i've just had it stuck in my head that i'd like to get some twist wheels and now am getting closer to actually pulling the trigger on the purchase.

mercedesben and bob, pictures say a thousand words, of course, so thanks for sharing! sorry for needing clarification, but those wheels are the exact same specs as the ones i'm talking about? 9" in the front? did you have to roll your fenders to fit them (thanks, Bmore Mark, for the education; didn't know what "rolling fenders" meant until you wrote it and i looked it up on goog)?

No rolling necessary, they fit perfectly and I like the handling much better with the 18" vs, the 17" sport cups they came with when I bought it.

You can also use a 235 front tire which is the tire I am using with the 9 inch rim and the same offset of 50 mm. Perfect fit with out doing anything with the camber. No issues at all.
