Default Slightly OT: Panamera Turbo S brakes

Has anyone seen these brakes in person? There was one at my local dealership and the calipers are absolutely massive, I was astonished. There was a GT3RS next to it and it made the brakes look like calipers off a Corolla.

Seeing that the Panamera probably weights around 1000 pounds more than the GT3, that doesn't surprise me too much. Big pig needs big brakes.

I sat in a turbo S in the dealer the other day . sure didn't feel anything like a 993. but aye, those brakes were huge o.O

*on a side note, we did test the v6 pan and felt pretty satisfy with it

Just a couple of weeks ago a Panamera caught my eye (which is unusual cos I try to close my eyes when they appear) and it was the brakes I spotted - could not believe how massive the calipers were. I then wondered how long til a r-lister would bolt them on a 993. "Big Big Big Reds" anyone?

I drove a 6 cylinder Panamera last month, and it felt very underpowered. The standard brakes seemed ok, although I didn't get to really push the car.

I was thinking they would be more appropriate for my V10 Touareg which is quite the "pig" as well.

First one I saw had PCCB's and that was what caught my eye also, how big they were.

IIRC I think he said the replacement rotors are $8k per axle!!!!!!!!!!!! So you could buy a new set of rotors for the Panamera or a 996

I think the view from the mirror is nice
