Default Front Tire Age

My new to me 97 Targa came with new P-Zero's on the rear. The front P-Zero's look new (no cracking, etc), have great tread, but were put on the car in Sept. of 2000 - only 3K miles since then. Run them or change them???

Replace them. My car came with zero mile bridgestone S-02 (YR 2000) and I swapped them out immediately. Dont go cheap on tires, its where the car meets the road.

Mine came with '03 Bridgestones on the front. Front end felt very light and skittish at speed with them. New tires and an alignment made a world of difference.

I became a born-again tire believer this year.

My 993 was handling really funky....front would lift left on throttle, dive right off throttle, among other strange things.

Rears were pretty worn but the fronts had lots of good tread left.

Replaced all four tires (4 years old)....fixed everything.

I will, from now on, replace tires every four years regardless of tread remaining.

My bride's MINI will get new on all corners next year.

(We drive year round on Nokian Haks).

When this insurance issue with my front bumper replacement gets sorted out, I'll be shopping for new front shoes.

Default Source for new P-Zero's???

OK - new front tires it is. My assumption is my best bet is to to match the P-Zero's just put on the back. Recommenced source?
