I regret selling my stock mufflers on ebay for $125 way back when I first got my car and did not even know what a Fister was. Other than that, could not be happier.

I regret the day back in 2006 that I bought a 996.....shoulda bought a 993. Fixed that in 2009

I regret selling my 95 C2 Coupe, getting an 09 C2S Cab with PDK, and discovering that while faster, it wasn't near the fun of my 993. I took a 38K depeciation hit with only 11K miles, but I am now happily back in a 993. I am getting ready to buy a 993tt if the planets align for me once again, if not I'm quite happy with what I have.

care to explain why? the nsx is one of the best sports cars ever built, its reliable, easy to maintain, great fun to drive, and exciting to look at.

With the exception of a lack of power, which is easy fixed by comptech, I can't see any reason why someone would regret an nsx.

As for the 993, I regret not getting a silver car with fewer miles.

The NSX had many firsts in the automotive industry, and to be honest...it brings more thrills to me than my 993 did. The sound of that engine shrieking behind your ears as you take it to 8k RPMs....nothing like it. They are just completely different cars.

And as far as power and handling goes. The Naturally aspirated 993 doesnt come close to the NA2 NSX. Ive never been in a car that has felt so balanced before.

Im sure from your comments Mongrelcat, youve never Owned an NSX. Maybe youve driven one, maybe youve read tons of magazine articles as many have...until you actually own one for an amount of time, you wont ever understand the car and the levels of engineering that went into it. Back to the topic at hand...

Not buying the extra set of CUPII+tires for $700 from the seller to have a perfect AX setup. I had never done AX and actually thought "who the hell will need an extra set of wheels!!"

I was even considering ripping the hardback sports seats out and replacing them with regular seats. Luckily I went AX before making that final decision... Phew....

Analog Theory

I regret having a major engine overhaul and not having the $$ at the time to upgrade my heads to the Rennsport RS intake valves, RS cams and other bits opting only for the ECU. I actually could have swung it but just didn't. I think about that all the time...especially since my car is at Rennsport now for a regear. Next time - since this car will always be with me

I almost regret buying my car entirely. 1995 C2

I was hoodwinked by a reputable seller of Porsche cars.

I paid $30,000.00 + 9.25 sales tax two years ago and since then I've spent $18,000.00 on the car for repairs and trouble shooting. No money was spent on upgrades.

I still have paint/rust issues, need a windshield and a clutch.

Would have sold the car a long time ago for a song if I knew it was going to be this bad. Nothings stinks as much as throwing good money after bad..

Please don't lecture me on my purchase as I've been lurking on RL for 4 years researching 993's. And I had a PPI done.

Isn't part of the 911 (pick your generation) thing being part of a relatively large, active group? There used to be a rather active NSX club around here, and their track events were kind of offshoot BMW club ones since so many of the BMW club instructors had or moved to an NSX. But that's all gone now. I think the last event I instructed at for them was maybe 2004.

So yeah, it's a neat car. I've got enough time in them, both stock and several of the forced induction solutions. (LOVE the crankshaft-across-the-intake-to-drive-the-supercharger one best.......) But even if a 993 lacks here and there, overall I'll take the bit larger sales volume so there's a bit more activity.
