The factory 3.8 upgrade kit was in the $7-8K price range (give or take currency exchange rate) back in the day, and that was parts alone - install labor was another story. Ask me how I know....
My USA 993 spent a little time at the factory's Werk 1 facility in 2001; Euro bumpers, rear fog light, C2S Euro suspension, additional leather interior items, LWF and the G21 gearbox w/limited slip to round out the enhancements. The factory 993 turbo S rear fender air intakes are made when the rear quarter panel production is stamped. Read expensive. While at Werk 1 a MY97 993tt had both its rear quarter panels cut off and waiting nearby were 2 new 993 turbo S rear quarters for installation.
Those 993tt S vents are stamped in allright >>> B-E-A-U-T-I-F-U-L. (too rich for my blood)
OP - you're going to miss the 993.. I'm just saying. GLWS.

Well today the new owner came to take the car. Was sad to see it go, but it is in good hands, and got to meet very nice gentleman to boot.
Now I need to get my 968 sorted out, possibly search for a white TT, or maybe nothing for a while or something totally different.
I will still be participating and lurking around the best Porshce forum
Hey all - I wanted to let those that may be interested, that my car is available by the current owners estate. I just found out that the gentleman that purchased it (great guy) had passed a week after purchasing it from me in a work related freak accident during Hurricane Irene. If you are seriously interested, email me and I can provide you with contact info.
Sad story. Sorta reminds me of a Yamaha TDM850 I sold to a guy in his 50's or early 60's when I lived in the Bay Area. Found out 8 months later that both he and his son had died of cancer a couple months earlier. Just goes to show none of us have an idea whats going to happen tomorrow. Best make the most of today.
