I second that. Just financed my 993 a few weeks ago at 2.49% with them.

Porsche Financial Services did mine, but since I bought my 95 993 four years ago with 19k miles from Porsche of Dallas dealership, thats probably why. Two things: your credit score and mileage of car are essential.

Heard good things about PFCU, but also look into Premier Finacial Services. They look at MARKET value of older cars, not NADA or BKK values.

If you call, ask for Alexis. She is very cool and from what I can tell by her voice and name, MUST be a smokin' hot brunette with a shirt skirt, high heels and long jacket. Tell her Tom and Cat said Hi.

how soon till this turns into a "I only pay cash for my Porsche's, if you have to borrow...you can't afford it" thread?

Home Equity line of credit here.

Captian of Industry I ain't.

Like my father always said..."a working man will never have anything, unless he goes into debt".

I followed my fathers advice, and I got stuff.

Good luck with both your financial and car hunting.

Agree.

Also, another nod for PFCU--it is who I used.

Another nod for PFCU... I financed my 06 C2S Cab with them.... 2.49% is awesome, and the application is through a web interface with almost immediate approval for loans up to $50K. Anyone can join if you hold a small balance in a savings account (from memory)....

This is the second car that I have financed through them, and they have been great....

What I was able to do was finance my 2006 Jetta from myself. They gave me a check for the Jetta and I used that money to buy my Porsche! The only downside to this is that I am required to have comp/coll on the Jetta whereas I would have opted for cheaper insurance otherwise.

J J Best Banc http://www.jjbest.com/ will finance older vehicles.

I looked into using them when I purchased mine. Very quick and easy approval process. In the end didn't use them however and just paid cash. Loan rates weren't very good ~9%.

+1 on JJ Best. I used them to finance a portion of mine and they were fast professional and easy to deal with. They are located in Massachusetts which strangely made me feel better as they are local. The rates when I financed mine were in the 7.9 range but the rates from a traditional bank on a used car loan were 6.9 so I didn't feel bad getting that kind of rate, plus I got the check with-in 2-3 days. The only downside is that they want the VIN# of the car you plan to purchase before you really purchase it. I had the opportunity to get a slightly better deal on a local car instead of buying mine from Texas. They wouldn't re-do the loan for the local vehicle. Oh well.... They also need to make sure that the car is collector quality, Pictures, mileage, etc. They told me that they would only finance mine because it was a C4S, C2S or Turbo. They wouldn't finance a narrow body or convertable as they didn't consider them collector quality at that time
