Think those are the motorsound ones, as opposed to normal small ovals or big ovals. Too lazy to look it up for you, but you should be able to find the number on the PET, which you should have if you don't already.

I'm pretty sure that tips off of a WB, except for the Turbo, will not fit a NB because of the slight offset.

I can't tell for sure from the OP's photo if the tips are the polished Motorsound tips, or the satin finished standard ones.

Motorsound mufflers can accept normal exhaust tips or the wide oval tips depending on which model they are installed. I don't think there was a special exhaust tip for the motorsound. My car has the wide ovals on the motorsound set up.

There is a motorsound option with the airbox and tips as a package. The PORSCHE dealer quoted me +/- Aus $1400 ! Does anyone have pics of these tips?

Motorsport tips are like in post #1 but are polished not satin as Dan says

C4S ones are no good to you as he also says!

Not sure what version they are, but I have a couple of sets that I've acquired over the years for various reasons. I can dig them out tonight and supply part numbers too.

Thank you for the replies.

Ginch - your C4S tips are too long from the mount point to the heat shields to work, the heat shield would interfere with the bumper cover.

Bart1 - I do have the PET and it lists five different part numbers for tips (10 total, both sides). I'm not certain which part number would look like the ones in the photo of the type I'd like. From the PET it looks like part #'s

R= 99311125203
L= 99311125103

are what I'm after but I'm not certain what they look like.

I've checked Gert's site and he has Motorsound tips for the NB listed, but before I went that route, I thought maybe a member might want to unload a pair.

Still looking - any help is greatly appreciated - Thank you.

I'm thinking those are from a narrow body car optioned with the motor sound package, and because you have a 95 Bischoff mufflers and tips, somewhere around 96 they went to Gillet , perhaps that's why all the different part numbers for tips, B or G wide or narrow bodies turbo , etc etc.......

I didn't get a chance to check p/n's last night, will do so today. I have two sets here that are what you pictured. I polished one set and the other set is the original satin finish.

I'll take pics later.

Aren’t those the standard NB tips that get discarded by many in favour of ovals?

I love the shape so I bought some new. These are my old ones off my late 95 NB.
993 111 251 10 left
993 111 252 10 right for NB 96-

If you have the Gillet boxes (on the right) they will fit straight on. With the Bischoff you will need the sealing rings (illustrated in the PET)

Can someone confirm that I have the Gillet and Bischoff thing correct? Been a long time since I was looking at this stuff and I’m just taking a break from renovating my house!
Nice to have certainty.

Hi Al,

I do have a set off my 1997 993, removed at 25K miles.

They are in fact the Gillet narrowbody Motorsound fitment option.

I will send you a note by PM.

Best,

Matt

You are correct from what I understand. I'm not sure why your tips are labeled Gillet since the "donut" (whether a separate part or integrated into the pipe) is on the muffler side but should be the same on the tip for both types of mufflers.

Luftd993 - Yes, those are the ones/type I'd like.

Thank you for supplying the pictures.

If anyone has a nice pair of that type that they would like to sell, please PM me.

Thank you!

Nothing like a nice pair of tips! :-)
