Uh, yeah, the fitment and buying process was less than a tour de force in customer service.
I did my research in advance and had a good clear idea of what I was looking for. I researched and spoke to each of Bob Woodman, Franz Blam and one of the large outfitters on the West Coast whose name I do not remember. I spoke directly with BBS Motorsports in GA on 2 occasions.
I swear, I could have been standing on the corner of 12th street and Vine with 5 grand in my wallet, and I could not find someone to credibly help me part with my money.
Reality is that we are 2011, and these fitments date back a decade. Most have forgotten what works or do not care to find out for someone that wants to buy 1 set of wheels. A shame really, since great brands do in fact manage to figure this out...
Joel Reiser does not do great "good phone", but by email we were quickluy able to source what was required. I trusted him, and was not disappointed.
Best,
Matt

This was one of the more satisfying and easy projects. When I had the strut brace installed, the stock carpet fitment was no longer ideal. Furthermore, with frequent brake service and battery inspection, there was a lot of unbuttoning and re-attachment of the carpet required.
The $30 solution was to remove the whole thing, trace a logical seam and have a shoemaker cut, trim and finish the edge in matching black vinyl.
It came out really well, I just had to add 2 small velcro stick-on tabs on the back to keep the rear vertical piece flushly mounted to the gas tank and from flopping forward.
I think it neatens things up a lot, and you get to check things out more often than you otherwise might. For example, many of us have some water ingress that pools in the trunk recess. Super easy to pass a cloth and tidy up after a wash...

To be honest, the Turbo bumper is a great inprovement over the NB one. Really no comparison. If I did not have spoilers, I would never have changed it.
But I had my heart set on the RS kit, and thus needed to return to a NB style. I took advantage of the oppotuinty to install a Euro one through, losing the bumperettes and license plate holes along the way.
PS - Mark and Darin were very helpful in sourcing a number of parts along the way...

Great question. No I have not.
There's a lot of weight saved in the manual seats, the change from stock mufflers to straight pipes and losing the door panels with speakers.
Less savings in removing the rear heater blower assembly and removing the seat backs.
The DAS bar is a heavy addition mind you, so I am sure a few net pounds were shed, but not many...
Then again, when you're a big guy like me, I need look no further than my waistline for my next performance mod!
