I'm thinking the classic look too. I will take out the passenger seat and place in both just to see how it looks. I'll be sure to take pics.

Aspen is about 5hrs from here. Not sure I'll get a hall pass for that long of a drive with a new 2 month old, but I'll work on her a bit.

Are they heated?
It's looking like I will be selling them, but they are not heated.

they're hard to find in good condition.... i have been on the fence about going with more of the speedster/RS racing style seat vs. the 993 HB. As I posted early on, if you are interested in selling, please let me know!

I ended up going with the classic black/black 993 Hardbacks. The install was fairly easy and the seats look stunning. No rips, no worn areas, they look brand new. I think the support on my short drive was much better than my stock seats.

Thanks Tim!

I know these seats are crazy prices, but they look so freakin good it somehow eases the $$ pain.

Did you replace the rear ruffled seats with a smooth set to match?

Na, I have a custom subwoofer seat in one back side and a booster seat in the other.

Default 996 coat hook on seat back ...

Doesn't have to be a hook: http://www.porscheshop.co.uk/acatalo...ior_decor.html

I put silver ones on black painted hard backs. Looked nice (to me).

Tony,

Hawt damn. I think you made the correct choice, especially for any future resale value (not that you would EVER part with that beauty). I think the GT3 seats may be more supportive, especially for a big guy.

Now... stop screwing with that car and start planning a road trip out to California so Mark can see it and have a good cry. Maybe FDM's annual BBQ? Hey.... when is that event gonna happen? Mark? Darrin?
