Hi all. Ref the HID kits - buy a small ballast version and then the whole thing fits within the headlight so can easily be removed.

LED's - the technology is moving fast but there's still not a reliable way of comparing them. It's not as simple as saying a 10 led bulb will be twice as bright as a 5 led bulb.

I converted my car about 4 years ago and it cost me around $400. Now the same led's are around $100 mark but slightly brighter versions are more.

I've tried lots and lots of combinations of LED's in my car - bulbs that are bright in one application may not be so when installed in a 993 and vice versa.

I've had a few emails and i'm putting together some 27 led bulb kits that are a bit brighter than my 13 led ones. It's surprising the difference LED's make to the look of the car. They react instantaneously and give the car a 'cool' look.

For anyone going it alone you will need:
2 x + earth ba9s for side light (at front if you have it)
2 x + earth BAU15S front indicator
2 x - Earth ba15s rear indicator
2 x - earth BAy15D for stop / tail
- earth ba15s for fog / reverse
T5 extreme if you want to do your high level brake light (x25)
A 3 pin led flasher relay

All the best!
Alan

Hi Alan - Can you PM me the price for your full kit below? Also, do you ship to Hong Kong? Thanks!

I just got off the phone with DDM Tuning, and they no longer carry the 993 specific one, which means you just have to cut and crimp one wire within the headlight, no big deal, but the 993 one was cheaper, so I'm going to go down there and see if they'll honor the 993 price. Wish me luck!

Converted my Clear turn signal lights to LED today - much brighter!
Also replaced the OEM Signal Relay under the dash to eliminate hyper flashing.

I did my front indicators with bulbs from superbrightleds.com a couple of years ago. I keep meaning to do the rears also.

This is awesome. Can I ask what OEM signal relay did you get and where did you purchase it? Thanks!
