Default Engine dies but rarely

My 95 has started to have the engine die when I shift into neutral after cruising at about 3-4000 rpm's, such as when approaching a red light. This has happened four times in 500 miles. It is as if there is no idle setting. When it doesn't die the tach drops way down to about four hundred momentarily and then pops back up to 800 or so. The car has 54,000 miles. Runs great otherwise. The symptom occurs when the engine is not up to op temp. Any advice would be appreciated...Cheers.....Chris

Often happens on a '95 if you have a lightweight flywheel installed....cleaning the ISV can help.

The car has the original flywheel and has not had this problem until just recently. I will do as you suggest, thanks for the help. Chris
